From June to September 2024, the streets of Ausonia are filled with life with dances, songs and scents of the food and wine tradition, on the occasion of the emigrant festival which represents a warm welcome for citizens returning to their hometown to spend the summer holidays. The traditional Festa dell’Emigrante di Ausonia is an unmissable event for the community abroad, an itinerant occasion that offers performances by folk groups and traditional music, accompanied by food and wine stands displaying delicious local products. In this edition, we are pleased to announce a collaboration with the neighboring municipalities of Coreno Ausonio and Castelnuovo Parano, with the aim of promoting the construction of a local network called “Municipalities of the Roots”. The agenda of the event is full of appointments and promotional initiatives that see our emigrants as protagonists, always active and involved in the activities that have been successfully carried out for many years, thanks also to the precious collaboration of the Proloco and local associations. From June to September, enthusiasts will be able to participate in nature and cultural walks, as well as guided tours of the Monument of the Emigrant and the Ausonia Stone Museum. On July 27, 2024, the Festival of folk groups will be held at the Madonna del Piano, while on August 14 and 15 the traditional Fair of the Assumption will take place, an event that includes the characteristic food stands, exhibitions of paintings and historical photographs of Ausonia and works made in Perlato Royal Coreno.
