The 2-hour route includes a walking itinerary through the streets of the village, which will allow you to get to know the world of your ancestors. The square is surrounded by ancient buildings, each with its own history and peculiarities, and you will be able to admire the traditional architecture that characterizes the village.
Continuing along the narrow cobbled streets, you will pass centuries-old churches and historic buildings, witnesses of the village’s glorious past. Your guide will tell you about the noble families who once inhabited these mansions and the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. You will be able to see the houses where your ancestors lived, some of which are still inhabited by their descendants, and imagine what daily life must have been like in those distant times.
The itinerary includes a visit to the workplaces of your ancestors, such as artisan workshops and agricultural fields. You’ll be able to see the tools and techniques they used to carry out their trades and learn about the activities that have supported the village’s economy for centuries. The guide will explain how these professions have evolved over time and which of them are still practiced today.
A special highlight of the tour will be the visit to the family home, where, if possible, you will be able to enter and see the interiors. Here, your guide and local contact person will tell you personal stories and anecdotes about your family, allowing you to feel even more connected to your roots.
